Pediatric General Surgery Department

The Pediatric Surgery Department at Bahria International Hospital Lahore provides comprehensive surgical care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Our experienced pediatric surgeons are dedicated to diagnosing and treating a wide range of congenital, developmental, urological, gastrointestinal, thoracic, trauma-related, and oncological conditions using advanced surgical techniques and child-centered care.

We offer specialized services in General Pediatric Surgery, including hernia repair, hydrocele surgery, circumcision, undescended testis correction (orchiopexy), hypospadias repair, epispadias repair, meatal stenosis surgery, and management of various pediatric urological disorders.

Our Neonatal Surgery unit manages complex congenital conditions such as tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF), intestinal atresia, anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung disease, malrotation with midgut volvulus, omphalocele, gastroschisis, and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

The department also provides Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) Pediatric Surgery, including laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, laparoscopic orchiopexy, and diagnostic laparoscopy, ensuring reduced pain, faster recovery, and minimal scarring.

Our Pediatric Urology Services cover vesicoureteral reflux (VUR), pyeloplasty for PUJ obstruction, bladder and kidney stone surgery, ureteric reimplantation, and bladder exstrophy repair.

For children with digestive and colorectal conditions, we offer Colorectal & Gastrointestinal Surgery, including appendicitis treatment, colostomy formation and closure, intestinal obstruction surgery, duplication cyst excision, Meckel’s diverticulum surgery, chronic constipation management, and rectal bleeding evaluation.

The department is equipped to perform Head, Neck & Thoracic Surgery, including thyroglossal cyst excision, branchial cyst excision, torticollis surgery, pediatric thoracic procedures, and empyema thoracis surgery.

We also provide expert care in Burns, Trauma & Reconstructive Surgery, offering wheel-spoke injury management, pedicle flap reconstruction, skin grafting, burn wound treatment, complex wound reconstruction, and scar and contracture release surgery.

In addition, our Pediatric Tumor Surgery services include surgical management of Wilms tumor, ovarian tumors, and testicular tumors.
