The Infection Prevention & Control Department, Bahria International Hospital has conducted a seminar on awareness of novel corona virus (2019-nCoV) at Bahria International Hospital, Orchard, Lahore. The activity was chaired by Brig (R) Dr. Khadim Hussain, Senior Hospital Administrator and Dr. Saqib Saleem, Medical Director. The speaker -Dr. Syed Zahid Bukhari, Consultant Infection Prevention & Control described the disease epidemiology, its mode of transmission, clinical presentation and case definition based on national and international guidelines. He described the strategic plan of management for recently emerged corona virus 2019- nCoV. All Bahria International Hospitals are well prepared to manage the suspected, probable and even confirm cases of corona virus. All personal protective equipment’s (PPE) including N95 masks are available. The relevant faculty members including consultants (Internist, Nephrologist, Intensive care units, Infection Control, Infectious Diseases, ER, etc.) actively participated in group discussion. At the end, speakers paid thanks to Dr. Shazia Asim, VP, Bahria International Hospitals for her interest and support in conducting educational activates and developing quality culture.

The Infection Prevention & Control Department, Bahria International Hospital, Lahore has conducted an awareness activity on novel corona virus (2019-nCoV) at Cricket Stadium Bahria Town Bahria, Lahore. The activity was chaired by Brig. (R) Umar General Manager at Bahria Town. The objective of this activity was to make awareness about transmission and prevention of corona virus infection. The Infection Control Team of Bahria Town Hospital chaired by Dr. Syed Zahid Bukhari, Consultant Infection Control displayed educational booth comprised of models on appropriate use of personal Protective Equipment like surgical N95 mask, gown, gloves, hand washing and corona virus structure. Dr. Bukhari explained that Bahria International Hospital Lahore is well prepared to manage corona virus patients. Dr. Bukhari expressed thanks that Dr. Shazia Asim, Vice President, Bahria International Hospitals for taking interest in teaching and  educational activates not only in the hospitals but also in communities particularly among Bahria Town residents. Dr. Bukhari also paid thanks to organizing committee of this event mainly Col (R) Attique Ur Rehman, Mr. Awal Mir and others.
